J
This is the consonant "ji-uj". It has approximately the same sound as English "j" or "ch." It is written in three strokes: first, a horizontal stroke, followed by a vertical stroke that begins either from the ending position of the horizontal stroke or the middle of the horizontal stroke. Be especially careful NOT to aspirate this consonant too heavily. Note that this consonant will sound like a "t" when unreleased. Thus, for example, the name of the consonant ("ji-uj") will be pronounced as though it were spelled "ji-ut."
