Han'geul
These lessons will introduce the Korean writing system - Han'geul. They will begin with the vowels, then move on to the consonants, and finally cover syllable combinations.
The Korean alphabet is one of the world's most scientific alphabets and is very easy to learn. It was designed by King Sejong, fourth monarch of the Choseon dynasty, in 1443 and promulgated in 1446. The original name of the alphabet was "Hun-min-jeong-um," which means "the proper sounds for the instruction of the people." The modern name of the alphabet is "Han'geul," which means "Korean script."
