EY

This is the vowel "ey". It has approximately the same sound as the "e" in the English word "bet." It is written in three strokes: first, a short, horizontal stroke, followed by two downward vertical strokes, the second slightly longer than the first. Note that this vowel is a combination of the vowels "e" and "i". Finally, note that many Koreans no longer distinguish between the vowels "ae" and "ey" in terms of pronunciation. Both will be pronounced like the latter.
